Hurricane Ivan: A Retrospective
Hurricane Ivan Summary & HistoryHurricane Ivan hit Florida on Thursday, September 16, 2004, just 12 days after Frances. The storm came ashore near Pensacola with 120 mph winds and as a category 3 hurricane.
This hurricane really scared everyone. It did a lot of damage in the Caribbean and was taking the same path Charley took. Fortunately for us, it stayed out in the Gulf and missed Central Florida. Come relive Hurricane Ivan as I saw it.
